Post-Installation Care
Cleaning the Glass & Frame
Use a soft cloth and mild cleaner to wipe down glass surfaces regularly. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the frame or glass.
Lubricating the Tracks
Apply silicone-based lubricant to sliding tracks every 6 months. This ensures smooth operation and prevents wear over time.
Seasonal Weather Checks
Inspect seals and weatherstripping before winter and summer. Replace any damaged components to maintain energy efficiency and protection.
Common Installation Questions
In most cases, yes. Removing the old frame ensures proper fit and alignment of your new window or door. However, some retrofit installations may allow you to keep the existing frame.
We recommend using a high-quality polyurethane or silicone-based sealant that is specifically designed for windows and doors. Make sure it's paintable if you plan to paint over it.
Most sliding doors have adjustment screws located at the bottom of the door panel. Turn these screws clockwise to raise the door or counterclockwise to lower it until the door glides smoothly.
DIY installation does not void the product warranty, but installation-related issues may not be covered. We recommend professional installation for the best results and full warranty coverage.
